Test installation commune Wilfersdorf

Wilfersdorf is marked by barock buildings and surrounded by a beautiful landscape. The good accessibility from Vienna and especially the ecological and economical awareness of its decision makers turn Wilfersdorf into a perfect reference commune for innovative and sustainable street lighting. Two LEDworx® LED-Streetlights were installed on both sides of the entrance of the castle of Liechtenstein enlightening a main road of Wilfersdorf.

Results of evaluation:
Despite similar results of the calculated and measured luminous intensity the LED-lights seem to shine brighter from the viewpoint of the observer. The light radiation of the LED-Light is directed selectively and avoids unnecessary blinding and lighting of windows of neighboring houses. The luxmeter measurements resulted in a similar output of 15 lux, both beneath the LEDworx® LED-Streetlight and the newly equipped conventional fluorescent lamp.
Energy saving: 36%.
